Suppah

July 21, 2010

My 18-month-old niece Sienna is into feeding herself rather than being fed, so her mom puts her food on her tray and lets her go to town.  It ends up a messy but entertaining process, and one morning during our vacation together, I got to prepare her meal.  She can’t say “breakfast” or “lunch” but can say “suppah” in the best of Maine accents.

Breakfast this morning was almond butter toast cut into strips, sliced banana, diced watermelon, bits of American cheese, and some corn salsa, all going into one happy kid.

That’s SO cute!! I love it! We should all have that kind of breakfast… a little bit of this and a little bit of that. 🙂
