Ooma and Oompa visit
Ooma and Oompa (a.k.a. Alan’s aunt Betty Jo and uncle Neal) visited with us for a week. The kids loved having them stay with us; every morning after diaper changes, we would head down the stairs and hear “Ooma! Oompa!” all the way down.
They came with us to the aquarium, the Children’s Museum, the community center toddler room, the playground, and music class. We read lots of books. Our neighbor was kind enough to babysit for us so we four could have some adult time at our church’s St. Patrick’s Day dinner / pub night.
Oompa became a tunnel for Audrey to drive her car through. Ooma taught them to say “Ooh-ee-ooh-ah-ah, ting tang walla-walla-bing-bang” and “Boom-shaka-laka,” the latter of which Theresa busted out during the consecration at Mass that Sunday.
